4275, Royal Oak

Royal Oak 4275

35 mm | Hours, minutes, date | Bracelet 477 | Calibre 2123

Model 4275 belongs to the Model 4100 family. It picks up the gemset bezel of Model 4153 and adds a "line-set" bracelet: a row of brilliant-cut diamonds crosses each link from side to side, passing between the pairs of studs.

The illustrations in the 1981–82 catalogue show non-guilloché dials, punctuated by gemset hour-markers and driven by tritium-free baton-type hands.

As with Model 4153, the small case numbers belong to the Model 4100 series. As a result, despite a very limited production run, a Model 4275 may have a high number, such as 2061.

A study of the Production Register (Registre d’Etablissage) shows a total production of 27 watches sold between 1981 and 1985, of which 15 were in white gold and 12 in yellow gold.

4275BC

The smooth black dial is punctuated by 11 brilliant-cut diamonds, while 72 brilliant-cut diamonds adorn the case rim and the bracelet is set with rows of diamonds crossing each link, from the largest to the smallest.

The first four Model 4257BC watches in white gold were sold in 1981. The following year, nine more left the Manufacture, and it was only three years later than the two last ones were distributed.

Total of 15 watches sold from 1981 to 1985, including four in 1981, nine in 1982 and two in 1985.

4275BA

The Production Registers mention at least eight Model 4275BA watches interpreted in yellow gold. The golden dial is not guilloché. Its colour is similar to that of the case middle of which it appears to be an extension.

Total of 12 watches sold from 1982 to 1985, including eight in 1982, one in 1983, one in 1984 and two in 1985.
