14701, Royal Oak

Royal Oak 14701

36 mm | Hours, minutes | Calibre 2124 and 2125 | Bracelet 789 | Launch date: 1992

The Royal Oak 14701 is a variation of Model 14700 (1990, Calibre 2125). Unlike the latter, it is equipped with Calibre 2124 (except for one example).

The variant illustrated in the Audemars Piguet Archives features a dial entirely paved with diamonds, punctuated by ten rubies. The technical data for the case mention stone dials in obsidian, grossular or jasper.

Only 11 of these timepieces are listed in the Audemars Piguet Production Registers: six in yellow gold and five in white gold.

Yellow gold version 14701BA, sold from 1992 to 1993: a total of 6 units, of which 1 in 1992 and 5 in 1993.

White gold version 14701BC, sold from 1992 to 1993: a total of 5 units, of which 2 in 1992 and 3 in 1993.

Model derived from the 14700 (1990).
