Representing the first ever openworked Royal Oak, Model 5710 (renamed 35710 in 1984–85) is equipped with a calibre that is only 1.9 mm thick.
Audemars Piguet's watchmakers have hollowed out the components to the extreme so as to highlight the entire gear trains, the escapement and even the barrel spring.
Sales from 1981 to 1989: total of 20 units of which 16 in 1981, 2 in 1983, 1 in 1984 and 1 in 1989.
