15053, HAUTE JOAILLERIE ROYAL OAK OPENWORKED

Royal Oak “Jumbo” 15053

39 mm | Hours, minutes | Calibre 2120SQ | Bracelet 944 | Water-resistant to 20 metres | Launch date: 1998

In 1998, Audemars Piguet produced three ultra-thin 39 mm models whose dial depicts the map of Africa, with an emerald in the location of Nigeria: the Royal Oak 15052, 15053 and a variant of Model 14811.

The entirely paved one-of-a-kind Model 15053 is distinguished by the 32 baguette-cut emeralds set on its bezel, as well as by the 568 brilliant-cut diamonds adorning its bracelet, case middle and dial, totalling approximately 8.45 carats (for the whole watch).

It should be noted that the construction of Royal Oak Haute Joaillerie watches differs slightly from the base model in order to guarantee water-resistance even after gemsetting.

1 model sold in 1998.

Derived from Model 14811.
